18 weeks, full time.

Students undertaking a blend of face to face training as well as industry based training and experience in an Early Childhood Centre.

A minimum of 160 hours of practical skills work placement is required.

Intercept Training works closely with our Centres and students to facilitate work placement opportunities.

Must be at least 16 years of age

Must undergo a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment

Must provide Photo ID

Must hold (or applied for prior to commencement) a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Additional Requirements:

Students will be required to wear a uniform while attending Work Placement.

This must be a full-length collared shirt, black pants and black fully enclosed shoes.

Students may be required to have at least two COVID vaccinations and/or the current flu vaccination (this is at the discretion of the individual Host Centre).

The balance of your fee is to be paid upon commencement of training.

To successfully complete this qualification, students must be deemed competent in the following units of competency. Assessment methods for each unit of competency will include theory and practical observations (scenarios) in a classroom setting, practical assessment in a workplace setting and the required practical placement hours.

Upon successful completion you will be issued with the CHC30121 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Nationally Recognised Qualification.

The CHC30121 - Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a pre-requisite for the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care allowing students to further their education path.
